Amongst many of the other things I signed up for this year, the Portland Bridge Pedal was one of them. With a goal to conquer something, each month this year that would scare or push my physical/mental abilities, the bridge pedal was my August commitment. I decided instead of the full 15-mile ride that covered an additional three bridges, I instead signed up for the 12-mile ride. As cool as the additional bridges would have been, this allowed for a couple extra hours of beauty sleep due to the start times.
I've never done the bridge pedal before. And to say the least, I really enjoyed it. To see the bridges from that perspective and to stop, stand, take pictures in the middle of them was incredible. Driving over them vs riding your bike are so different. I've come to appreciate their beauty even more now. Amazing!

Talk about doing something that scares me, I think this tops that list. To go full nude or not to, that was the ultimate question. I have lost 40 pounds in 6 months, but was I really ready to bare all? Only Rehan and my bike will ever know that answer.
[Thanks Rehan for braving this with me. I know it wasn't your thing and you had no interest, but I really appreciate you joining so I wasn't doing it alone]
After Warrior Dash I was really looking forward to the Terrain Race, the second of my year of 5k's. Until I started hear it was going to be a little tougher... and a "little" was an understatement. It was one of the most difficult obstacle courses I have done to date (which was two, but compared to Warrior Dash this was extreme). So glad Rehan and Doug participated. I would not have made it through this course without them. Thank You!
DATE // 05.19.2018 RACE TIME // 12:30 PM PDT LOCATION // CAMBY, OR DISTANCE // 5K TOTAL TIME // 1 HR 10 MIN https://warriordash.com/location/2018-warrior-dash-oregon/ First of many 5k's that my sister and I signed up for this year. Our first time participating in Warrior Dash and I'm sure it will not be our last.... especially when we arrived and saw the giant mud bath at the end. How can you turn down swimming in a mud pool? I know I can't. Photo Credits: Doug Linn
